Poetry Reading with Laila Sumpton 26 Oct 2019 Join us for a reflective conversation to mark the closing of Ana Čvorović’s exhibitionBorders Unfold, at Pi Artworks London on 26 October from 2:30pm – 4:30pm. The afternoon will start with poetry performances by a spoken word artist, Laila Sumpton. Her poetry uses imagery and lyricism to tell stories about identity and human rights. Later, the audience will be invited to share their thoughts in a closing discussion between Counterpoints Arts, Pi Artworks London, Ana Čvorović and Laila Sumpton. Focusing on displacement and the intersecting themes of hope, home and trauma,Borders Unfold is based on extensive research conducted by Čvorović in 2019 whilst at a residency at Sculpture Space, Utica, New York.
