In this work Schwer uses the module of the brick and its composite wall, as a reminiscence of the brick expressionism in Hanover. On six floors, light elements are set up like segments of a polygonal cylinder right behind the windows or hang from the ceiling. Seen from the outside, they seem to grow like a tree through all floors. Their inclinations and rotations ensure a pronounced organic effect.
A total of 500 glass surfaces are painted individually in different ways. Their colors, transparency, brightness and their brush applications are clearly visible on every surface and show their strong painterly quality. LED lights, which are programmed with a smoothly sliding alternating effect, illuminate the fields in the dark to create a lively play of colors in which the viewer can immerse himself. “It should by no means get too straight.” emphasizes Schwer: “My new work has also something sacred for me. We all know the effect of light falling through church windows."
