This work marked a new direction in Bradley’s long engagement with the light box and back-lit imagery. Here, the white-metal panels that accompanied earlier works have united with the image to create a sculptural ‘box of light’. In turn, the laughter of two women – friends of the artist – both unites their faces and animates the box.
